Investors from the Special Property Fund, DEFO-Deutsche Fonds für Immobilienvermögen GmbH, belonging to the Union Investment Group have acquired the Twentec retail property built in 2003 in a prime location, in the Dutch city of Enschede for the DEFO Property Fund 1.
The transaction covers an overall sum invested of approx. €29 million; the vendor is an investment company related to the Dutch Foruminvest B.V..
The Twentec commercial center is in immediate proximity to the historic Old City of Enschede at the newly-planned 'van Heekplein' square location, which records the largest number of people passing through in the Inner City.
The fully let retail property comprises nine leasehold units between 441 m² and 2,107 m² in size. Lessees consist exclusively of Dutch retail chains, some of whom are market leaders in their segment.
