Foodhills Fastighet AB has signed an agreement to sell the Bjuv 23:6 property in Bjuv via a corporate transaction at an underlying property value of c. €57.4m before the deduction of deferred taxes.
Catena has co-owned the property company Foodhills Fastighet AB since 2018; Catena’s share is 45%. In 2018, Foodhills Fastighet acquired the properties Bjuv 23:1 (part of Selleberga 17:1) and Lunnahus 4:2 in Bjuv municipality from the food company Findus which, for a long time, had both its headquarters and production facility on the properties. The site consists of a number of different buildings constructed between 1940 and 1998, with a lettable area of c. 100,000m².
Foodhills Fastighet is now selling the Bjuv 23:6 property, which has been subdivided from Bjuv 23:1. The property in question, Bjuv 23:6, has a land area of 149,669m², with a lettable area of 27,425m². On the property, there is a newly built, modern logistics facility with refrigerated storage erected in 2022. The facility is fully leased to the meal kit company Hello Fresh with a lease extending to 2032.
The buyer of the property is an international investor and the transfer date was 31 July 2024.
“By divesting the Hello Fresh facility, we're highlighting the value that we, together with our partners in Foodhills Fastighet, have built up over the years,” said Catena’s CEO Jorgen Eriksson.
