Ernst & Young and Andersen announced they have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to proceed to reach agreement to integrate Andersen Australia into Ernst & Young.
Ernst & Young had earlier announced its intention to combine with Andersen in two other countries. In Russia, Ernst & Young (CIS) Ltd and Arthur Andersen ZAO have announced their intention to combine their practices. In New Zealand , Ernst & Young announced it had reached agreement for Andersen and Ernst & Young to merge their operations in that country.
