Dutch developer plans

Express Park Developments, a private Anglo-Dutch developer, is planning a £100m mixed use development in the Manvers regeneration area of Rotherham. The proposed development will be located on a 280-acre site that Express Park has just bought. The scheme will provide a 200,000 sq ft business park on 11 acres of land, plus 360 homes and 250,000 sq ft of retail and leisure with a multiplex cinema, bowling alley, hotel, restaurants, health club and lakeside golf course.

The scheme is part of a £500m expansion drive by Express Park, which is looking to develop a further 10-15 sites in the UK. At present, the company’s only UK scheme is a 105-acre business park in Bridgwater.

Express Park is also known to be in talks over the acquisition of two more sites
