Following their launch this summer, the initial release of two duplex penthouses at Lord’s View One has sold for a combined c. €18.5m says developer LandCap.
The two penthouse sales were both to Asian families, drawn by the product quality and cricket ground views, with one deal managed by joint selling agent DDRE Global and the other by Knight Frank. Both purchases were for owner occupation, with the middle-aged buyers seeking a London base and a good long-term investment in this highly sought-after St John’s Wood location.
Designed by award-winning architectural practice Stiff + Trevillion, the four new penthouses form a landmark airspace development built on top of the refurbished 11-storey Lord’s View One apartment building on St John’s Wood Road, directly adjacent to Lord’s Cricket Ground.
Each penthouse provides up to c. 220m2 of luxurious internal living space and up to c. 97m2 of external private terraces and a spectacular rooftop garden. Interior design and dressing is by award-winning interior design studio Albion Nord. Penthouse residents will have the privilege of being able to watch cricket matches from the luxury and privacy of their living spaces, terraces, or rooftop gardens.
Each unit comes with two EV charging parking spaces and an on-site concierge. The upper floor of each duplex penthouse has a large dual/triple aspect double reception room, a guest powder room and a large bespoke kitchen and breakfast room by Blakes Kitchens. Crittall glass walls and a skylight encase a curved timber staircase that connects to the lower floor of each penthouse, where there are three generously sized ensuite bedrooms. On the top level of each penthouse is a private roof garden overlooking Lord’s Cricket Ground.
Faris McKinnon, Co-Founder of LandCap said: “We are pleased with the success of the first phase release of penthouses at Lord’s View One and the positive buyer feedback on the quality and design of the collection. The penthouse collection is now 50% sold, and with their unparalleled views over Lord’s Cricket Ground we anticipate strong interest in the launch of the second phase, with two penthouses being released to the market in early 2025.”
Andrew Lock, Development Partner of LandCap and Director of Imperial Penthouses said: “The Lord’s View One penthouses have been beautifully designed with large free-flowing entertainment spaces and striking vistas of Lord’s Cricket Ground and the surrounding St John’s Wood area. There is a proven enduring appeal of homes overlooking the cricket ground and the buyers saw the long-term benefits to investing in this landmark development.”
The second phase release of Lord’s View One will be in early 2025 consisting of two new penthouses up to c. 220m2 in size, both benefitting from over c. 93m2 of private outside space.
