Cushman & Wakefield has been appointed as the new property manager of Galeria Plaza in Kraków.
Galeria Plaza (formerly Kraków Plaza) is located at Aleja Pokoju 44, the main road connecting Kraków city centre with the Nowa Huta district. The centre’s leasable area amounts to almost 31,000m2 with existing tenants including the likes Carrefour, Royal Collection, Media Expert, Reserved and Smyk, plus entertainment and sports facilities, including Cinema City, Pink! Bowling Club and Fitness Platinium. The scheme provides parking space for around 1,000 cars.
Peakside Capital currently manage Galeria Plaza on behalf of one of its institutional investors. Principal, Witold Breś, commented: “We are aware that the unusual character of Galeria Plaza requires a high level of strategic and operational commitment. That is why we chose Cushman & Wakefield, a company with a strong market position and vast commercial real estate experience, as the Property Manager.
“We have successfully cooperated with Cushman & Wakefield on other properties from the Peakside Capital portfolio. We believe that thanks to their original and creative approach to property management, leasing, marketing and technical issues, the centre will attract more tenants and customers, both now and in the future.”
In March 2016, the centre unveiled its new name and logo. The investor has announced further changes, with plans for Galeria Plaza’s future to be established later this year.
“We are proud to have been appointed property manager of Galeria Plaza. I am certain that any changes introduced as a result of our cooperation with Peakside Capital will satisfy both the tenants and customers,” added Aneta Rogowicz-Gała, partner, head of business development, asset services at Cushman & Wakefield.
