Oxford North, a €8,4m innovation district, will host the Careys Construction Campus, offering free on-site training in groundworking skills. The three-week course, starting in March 2025, is open to UK residents aged 17+ and includes hands-on training in curbing, block paving, drainage, and finishing. Graduates will earn a Level 2 qualification, a CSCS card, and a guaranteed interview with Careys.
Funded by Oxford North Ventures and Careys, the initiative aims to address the construction industry’s skills shortage and support local employment. The campus is part of Careys’ nationwide expansion of training programs, following the success of its first Construction Campus in Wembley.
Careys has been involved in Oxford North since 2022, working on infrastructure improvements and public park development. The company encourages other construction firms to adopt similar training models to strengthen the industry’s workforce and provide more job opportunities.
