Cabot Circus debuts new international retailers in Bristol (GB)

Hammerson announces that it has attracted global retailers, COS and Monki to the South West with both brands signing up to open new stores at Cabot Circus in Bristol.

These signings mark key regional debuts for the H&M Group brands as they focus on strengthening their presence in the UK’s leading retail destinations.

COS, offering shoppers its reinvented classics and wardrobe essentials, will take a 548m² store in Quakers Friars to give the brand its first store in the South West. Since launching in 2007, COS has opened stores worldwide in carefully considered locations, applying an architectural design concept that preserves buildings’ original features whilst creating a modern, welcoming space.

Situated in Quakers Friars, a piazza in the grounds of Cabot Circus set against the historic backdrop of a 13th century Dominican Friary building, COS’s new store will be ideally located alongside other premium global retailers including Hugo Boss and Michael Kors and will form an integral part of the centre’s aspirational shopping experience.

Monki’s new 344m2 store will be the brand’s second store in the UK and importantly will mark its first step outside of London and into a key regional city. Renowned for its street-style-meets-Scandi-chic apparel and imaginative store concepts, Monki’s double height shop front located on Concorde Street will be key to drawing in the younger fashion generation.

Both of these tenants are expected to open before Christmas this year.

Iain Mitchell, UK Commercial Director at Hammerson commented: “It is a great result for Cabot Circus, as well as for shoppers in the South West that these exciting international retailers have selected the centre to make their debuts. Already a retail, dining and leisure hub for leading global brands it is encouraging to see Cabot Circus continuing to go from strength to strength as occupiers look to expand across the UK into the very best regional destinations.”

Cabot Circus is jointly owned and operated by Hammerson on behalf of the Bristol Alliance.
