Brookfield re-enters Dutch logistics market

Brookfield has re-entered the Dutch logistics market with the acquisition of two properties for approximately €100m. The prime fully leased distribution facilities which together total approximately one million ft², are located in Groningen, a sought-after location close to major Dutch road networks connecting with Amsterdam and the rest of Europe. The Netherlands is the third-largest European leasing market for European logistics, often considered the gateway to Europe and well-positioned to benefit from the real estate demand driven by the acceleration of e-commerce and supply chain reconfiguration.

Dan Benhamou, Senior Vice President at Brookfield said: “We are excited to re-enter the Dutch logistics market as we continue to build out our European logistics portfolio, which now totals 25 million ft² across 5 countries. The Netherlands holds strategic importance for our pan-European strategy, and we look forward to growing our presence to a meaningful scale over time.”
