MINISO, the lifestyle product retailer offering high-quality household goods, cosmetics, food, and toys at affordable prices, has signed a 10-year lease on 2913ft² at Basingstoke’s Festival Place. The new store, which opened on Saturday the 10th of December, is the thirteenth to open in the UK, the second in South East England and the first in Hampshire. It is located on the ground floor of Festival Place, in the proximity of Next and H&M.
Simon Barrett, Managing Director and Head of Asset Management at AEW, said: “The opening of a brand new MINISO store at Festival Place is a great endorsement for the transformation that has taken place at Festival Place under AEW’s leadership. With a unique product offering, MINISO will provide customers with a one-of-a-kind retail experience and complement our extensive mix of international brands.”
Having launched in October 2002, Festival Place was acquired by AEW in 2015 and is the highest-ranked shopping centre outside a major UK city. It is listed in the top 25 of the latest Global Data’s UK shopping centres report and sits within Trevor Wood Associates’ Premier League of shopping centres.
