Construction company BAM NBM realized a profit of EUR 39.4 mln during 2001, an increase of 60% compared to 2000. Net profit per share amounted to EUR 3.90, an increase of 34%.
BAM NBM may not shy away from the weakening telecom and real estate sector. Not until 2003 there will be a recovery in the construction industry according to the Economisch Instituut voor de Bouwnijverheid. Nevertheless 2002 started well for BAM NBM: work under construction is valued at EUR 4.5 bln. Based on the present economic conditions, BAM NBM expects a slight increase in turnover and net profit during 2002.
