Arrow Capital Partners invest in Dutch logistics market

Arrow Capital Partners has acquired two new assets in Nieuw-Vennep in the Randstad region in the Netherlands for its €3bn Strategic Industrial Real Estate (SIRE) platform. Nieuw-Vennep is located 30km south-west of Amsterdam Central Station and 13km from Schiphol Airport. The purchase price was not disclosed.

The properties include:

  • Pesetaweg 20, which was built in 2004 and provides modern logistics space of 4,218m². It is single let to Nederland Express, a Chinese company providing logistics services between China and the Netherlands. The asset was previously occupied by Kuehne & Nagel.
  • Noorderdreef 68-78, which was built in 1983 and has recently been refurbished providing light industrial space of 5,937m². It is fully let to four tenants including a logistics provider and a fashion retailer.

Martien van Deursen, Head of Benelux at Arrow, said: “This brings the number of SIRE assets in the Netherlands to 15 and these most recent acquisitions are of high-quality in-demand properties. They continue our investment in light industrial and logistics assets which are benefiting from a scarcity of supply and growing occupational demand. We are actively growing our team and accelerating our deployment of capital in the Benelux as a whole, with a large pipeline of opportunities in place. In the Netherlands alone, our portfolio and pipeline now comprise more than €200m in assets and, over the next three years, we intend to invest a further €400m in the Benelux, including assets with income, vacancy or refurbishment potential, as well as ground-up development opportunities."
