Archie Cowan new ATIS REAL Weatheralls director (UK)

Archie Cowan, formerly head of Lambert Smith Hampton’s Central London agency, is set to join ATIS REAL Weatheralls as a director. He will replace Andrew Cruickshank, who left to join Weatheralls’ City office.

Cowan is best known for his time as the head of Knight Frank’s West End agency, but quit in January 2003 to join LSH. However, he was made redundant in February as part of the fallout from Chris Boulton’s failed management buyout of the firm.

Boulton was ousted following the collapse of the MBO. Cowan, who was one of his closest supporters, was seen by the returning management team of Mark Rigby and Bruce Brown, as too closely identified with the previous team.

Commenting on his appointment, Cowan said that he was looking to increase Weatheralls’ presence in the West End. “The firm has long been a leading player in the City and Midtown office markets but it is making significant investment to replicate this success in the West End”, he said.
