Altera Vastgoed has sold the Rijnplein shopping centre in Alphen aan den Rijn to a partnership of private investors represented by JansenDeJong. The property comprises approximately 12,800m² of retail space, which is currently being leased to H&M, MediaMarkt and various local entrepreneurs. The purchase price was not disclosed.
Erwin Wessels, CIO of Altera: “With this sale, we are continuing our investment strategy, which is aimed at creating a portfolio consisting of supermarkets and neighbourhood shopping centres. Convenience real estate in areas with robust demographics contributes to a stable direct return for our investors and is less sensitive to the effects of e-commerce and cyclical changes.”
