The €120m hotel portfolio in Tenerife, which includes the Alua Atlántico Golf Resort, Alua Tenerife, and Alua Soul Orotava Valley, has been reintroduced to the market, drawing attention to the Canary Islands' thriving hospitality sector.
In 2020, Blantyre Capital acquired these properties from Gema Hoteles and invested €20m in refurbishments. Miguel Cebrian, Investment Manager at Blantyre Capital, commented at the time: "Blantyre will support the managing team so as to offer our clients a new proposition moving forward from the season 2021-2022."
In February 2025, Hyatt Hotels & Resorts acquired the hotels for €120m as part of its strategy to expand its presence in Spain, growing its portfolio from two hotels in 2017 to 55 by 2025. The decision to reintroduce the portfolio to the market highlights ongoing investor interest in Tenerife's tourism and hospitality sector.
