AMPERE Gestion secures €325m first close for third intermediate housing fund

AMPERE Gestion, a subsidiary of CDC Habitat Group, has successfully raised €325m from six institutional investors in the first closing of its third intermediate housing fund, Fonds de Logement Intermédiaire III (FLI III).

The capital raised will support the development of affordable rental housing throughout France, furthering the firm's established impact investment strategy. The new fund builds on the success of its predecessors, which have helped address the critical shortage of mid-market rental properties in high-demand urban areas.

Nathalie Caillard, Chairman of AMPERE Gestion Management Board, said: "This new financing will be used to develop affordable rental housing as part of its existing impact investment strategy."

What remains particularly attractive for investors is the fund's dual focus on social impact and stable returns, especially as rising construction costs put pressure on housing affordability across Europe. Market analysts suggest this model could serve as a blueprint for other European markets struggling with similar housing challenges.

The successful fundraising comes amid growing institutional appetite for residential assets with ESG credentials, with many investors seeking opportunities that deliver both financial performance and measurable social outcomes.
