Gecina to develop 140,000-m² logistics park in Louailles (FR)

Gecina is committed to developing a 140,000-m² logistics park for around €70 million. This development, on a 33-ha site in the Ouest Park regional activity area in Louailles (Sarthe, west of France), is at a strategic crossroads (Le Mans–Tours–Angers triangle), with easy access to a major highway (the A11) and the possibility for a rail connection.

The project, carried out with the architect Gérard Franc, will involve the building four logistics platforms, with surface areas ranging from 30,000 to 45,000 m², on a park that will meet stringent environmental standards, with the first deliveries scheduled as of the end of 2009.

This new investment will enable Gecina to further strengthen its logistics offering, dovetailing well with its recent acquisitions. It will also confirm the company's position as a pivotal player on this sector, with a leased portfolio of over 690,000 m² and a further 450,000 m² of warehouse space currently under development.

On this transaction, Gecina has been advised by the Oudot & Associés notary's office.
