The British Land Company PLC has announced that Robert Bowden (64), Property Investment Director at British Land, will step down from the Board and will leave the Company on 31st December 2007. His responsibilities are assumed by Andrew Jones (39), Executive Director and Head of Retail, and Tim Roberts (43), Executive Director and Head of Offices.
Bob Bowden has been an important contributor to the Company's success since he joined British Land in 1992. He has been an Executive Director since 1997.
Stephen Hester, Chief Executive of British Land, comments, "We are sad that Bob is retiring and owe him our deep gratitude and appreciation. He has served the Company with great distinction for many years and leaves having smoothly and effectively handed over his responsibilities to the next generation."
