YIT starts up residential construction in Lytkarino, Moscow region (RU)

YIT has started up an extensive residential construction project in the town of Lytkarino, located close to Moscow. The project, which will be implemented in several phases, involves construction of a total of 79,000 m² of housing. The first phase will see the construction of 263 residential units with a total floor area of approximately 14,100 m², due for completion in early 2014.

The town of Lytkarino is located close to major traffic routes and has good public transport connections, which will be improved further during the construction project. YIT's 7.6 hectare plot is situated in the southwest part of the town. This area is the most important development project for the town of Lytkarino and a key part of its growth plan. The project is the first for YIT's local subsidiary, YIT Moskovia, in Lytkarino.

YIT Moskovia has delivered the last building of the project comprising four residential buildings in the town of Pushkino in the Moscow region. The project is situated at an attractive site on the bank of the Serebryanka river. The two-part, 19-story building has 234 residential units with a total floor area of approximately 14,600 m².

YIT's area development project in Pushkino has involved the construction of a total of 900 residential units with a total floor area of some 60,000 m². The project has also paid particular attention to developing the area's service infrastructure. In addition to housing, the ground and first floors of the newest building contain retail and office premises. YIT will also construct a separate shopping centre with restaurant services and grocery shops on the plot.
