Warner Estate Holdings gets planning consent for £30m Bolton retail scheme (UK)

Property investment and development company Warner Estate Holdings plc said it has been granted planning consent for a £30m scheme to redevelop Bolton´s Market Hall, which forms part of Agora Shopping Centre Fund´s Market Place Shopping Centre in Bolton. Work on the development is expected to start in summer 2006.

The scheme involves the restoration of the Grade II listed Market Hall to provide an additional 9,200 square metres of retail space together with a separate new building fronting Bridge Street which will house cafes and restaurants, it said.

Warner Estate manages Market Place Shopping Centre on behalf of the 400 mln stg Agora Fund, its 50/50 joint venture with Bank of Scotland Corporate. The Agora Fund is dedicated to investing and actively managing its portfolio of seven shopping centres in the Northwest.
