Vallehermoso, residential property subsidiary of the Sacyr Vallehermoso Group, has purchased a plot of land of 32,000 m² in Zaragoza in which it will develop more than 300 homes. Vallehermoso's total investment in this development will be around 150 million.
The building site is located in the Las Fuentes neighborhood, on the lands of a factory belonging to Schindler, a multinational company specializing in the manufacture of elevators, escalators and forklifts. Vallehermoso will develop 344 non-subsidized homes (with a building volume of 42,873 m²).
The land is a full block next to Miguel Servet street and the interchange known as Tercer Cinturón, with myriad services in the vicinity such as a shopping mall, health center, schools, a Sports Pavilion and ample greenbelts.
The agreement includes preservation and assignment to the Town Hall of an industrial building area declared of architectural interest and to be assigned to public facilities. The industrial building, work of architect Miguel Angel Navarro Pérez, dates back to 1942 and is a prime example of Zaragoza's industrial heritage.
Schindler will transfer its factory to one of the new developments of the city far from the city center, specifically to the Empresarium industrial park.
