ULI Names Kistler as First European President

The US-based Urban Land Institute has stepped up its commitment to Europe with the appointment of a European president and the creation of a European HQ. Currently 1,000 out of the ULI’s 20,000 members are based in Europe.

London-based Bill Kistler has been named as European president. The managing director of executive search firm Equinox Partners, Kistler has spent more than half of his 25-year career working in Europe. Prior to founding Equinox in 1996, he was responsible for the Val d’Europe development around Disneyland Paris and was vice president of new business development for Disney’s operations throughout Europe

ULI President Richard Rosan said dedicating leadership to ULI Europe is a “natural progression” reflecting the increasing globalisation of the organisation, individual businesses and the land use industry in general. “Our success in Europe will serve as a benchmark for what we can accomplish worldwide,” he said. “ULI is a unique, international forum for exchanging urban development best practices.”
