The US-based Urban Land Institute has stepped up its commitment to Europe with the appointment of a European president and the creation of a European HQ. Currently 1,000 out of the ULIââ¬â¢s 20,000 members are based in Europe.
London-based Bill Kistler has been named as European president. The managing director of executive search firm Equinox Partners, Kistler has spent more than half of his 25-year career working in Europe. Prior to founding Equinox in 1996, he was responsible for the Val dââ¬â¢Europe development around Disneyland Paris and was vice president of new business development for Disneyââ¬â¢s operations throughout Europe
ULI President Richard Rosan said dedicating leadership to ULI Europe is a ââ¬Ånatural progressionââ¬Â reflecting the increasing globalisation of the organisation, individual businesses and the land use industry in general. ââ¬ÅOur success in Europe will serve as a benchmark for what we can accomplish worldwide,ââ¬Â he said. ââ¬ÅULI is a unique, international forum for exchanging urban development best practices.ââ¬Â
