Topping-out ceremony for €35 million Diamona & Harnisch at Diplomatenpark (DE)

On one the city's last remaining plots for downtown living in a green and simultaneously exclusive ambience, the German-Israeli investor pool of Diamona & Harnisch Berlin Development GmbH is raising the Diplomatenpark ensemble. By the end of 2010, four prestigious townhouses with together 32 residential units of elevated standard will be realized on a four-plot property of roughly 7,100 m² on Tiergartenstrasse. The residential development is complemented by an underground car park of 49 car parking spaces.

"By raising these residences at Diplomatenpark, we are closing one of the last remaining architectural gaps between East and West Berlin," elaborated Alexander Harnisch, Managing Partner of Diamona & Harnisch Berlin Development GmbH. "At the same time, we are restoring a piece of history to this unique quarter between Potsdamer Platz and Tiergarten."

The high-end residences at Diplomatenpark were realised in cooperation with different architectural firms, which bestowed a distinct character on each of the townhouses. "This concept as well as the high-end fit-out of the apartments, which combine with the appeal of the location, thrills both local and foreign buyers. To date, we have already sold 23 apartments, and have thereby successfully marketed the project to 65%." The going rate for the apartments, which measure between 110 and 400 m², ranges from €4,600 to €12,500 per m².

Altogether, the German-Israeli investor pool of Diamona & Harnisch is currently investing €100 million in Germany's capital. Collaborating with renowned architectural firms, the company is realising three outstanding construction projects in addition to the townhouses at Diplomatenpark: the estates Choriner Höfe in Berlin's district of Mitte, Fichtenberg Carré in the borough of Steglitz-Zehlendorf, and the Lychener Straße 53 project in the district of Prenzlauer Berg. "What the projects have in common is the combination of choice location, ambitious architecture, and high-end fit-out. At the same time, their placement in various districts, and their customised construction methods, reflect Berlin's multi-faceted nature and diversity," said Harnisch as he described the success concept of Diamona & Harnisch Berlin Development GmbH. "At the end of the coming twelve months, we will have a total of 250 apartments of advanced standard in the capital. We already acquired other plots in prime locations in Berlin."
