ING REIM and TK MAXX have signed a lease agreement for retail space in Sarni Stok shopping center in Bielsko-Biala. TK MAXX is planning to open its store in October 2009.
The TK MAXX store will be located in the heart of the shopping center. The tenant will occupy 2,500 m², of which 1,000 m² will be situated on the newly-built entresol. Currently the retail space is under renovation work and will be delivered to the tenant once complete.
TK MAXX in Sarni Stok will be the first in BielskoBiala and one of the first in Poland, which is going to open this year.
DTZ, the global property adviser, represented the landlord during the negotiation process.
"We have supplemented the shopping center with a new tenant, who represents a new format on the retail market and is an important element in strengthening the position of Sarni Stok on the local market," said Krzysztof Bocianowski, a Member of the Board at ING REIM.
Sarni Stok was the first shopping center opened in BielskoBiala in 2001. During the last eight years, with an active management strategy in place, Sarni Stok has maintained a strong market position and gained a loyal group of clients, even with the growing competition on the local market.
"We truly believe that TK MAXX which is offering branded clothes, accessories and home equipments, will fit perfectly to the demand from local customers and the surrounding area," said Marta Burek, Retail Asset Management Director at DTZ.
