TirGranit enters St. Petersburg with large-scale projects (RU/HU)

During the Hungarian - Russian intergovernmental committee meeting, held in Budapest, Matvienko Valentina Ivanovna, Governor of St. Petersburg and Sándor Demján, Chairman of TriGranit signed a cooperation agreement to carry out several large-scale urban development projects.

Due to its commitment, TriGranit Group will develop two major projects in the forthcoming years. The multifunctional Badajevszkij shopping and exhibition center on 28 ha will incorporate residential and office buildings, hotels and a congress center, as well.

Apart from the above project, TriGranit Group is to develop a large-scale media center. The Telefabrika complex on the Vasiljev Island will be a full service film studio serving the television and film industry. It will incorporate underground parking facility, hotels and retail units, as well.

The project is going to be realized on the site of a former tram depot. TriGranit is going to keep and renovate the old buildings of architectural significance. Mr. Demján underlined: "Part of its long-term commitment towards the Russian market, TriGranit Group will actively participate in the complex development of the second largest Russian city. The cooperation will strongly contribute to the enhancement of the economic, social, industrial, cultural and education environment of St. Petersburg."

The total required investment of these two projects is over half a billion Euros. This cooperation is based on the framework agreement signed by St. Petersburg' municipality and TriGranit on June 23, 2007.
