The WGF Financial Group has received the permission to operate a capital investment company from the German Financial Supervisory Authority (BaFin).
By establishing the WGF Immobilien Investment GmbH, the WGF Financial Group enhances their spectrum of products for institutional real estate investors in the segment of real estate special funds. The Düsseldorf-based WGF Financial Group makes use of its extensive expertise in the real estate and capital market sector and designs an investment tool for the individual investment targets of institutional investors, such as insurances, pension funds, welfare institutions or church organizations.
Hans-Dieter Martin, Chairman of the WGF Immobilien Investment GmbH's management board, explains: "With our special real estate fund we will cover a number of asset classes and align the funds to the yield and security requirements of our investors. The decisions regarding the individual investments are made by the investment committee, which is composed of both investors and management."
Dr. Walter J. Helbach, also Executive Director of the WGF Immobilien Investment GmbH, elucidates the investment style of the capital investment company (KAG): "We very clearly focus on yield security and quality of the real estate. It is our goal to utilize market situations to achieve long-term value appreciation in combination with optimized risk spreading."
The career paths of Martin and Helbach stand for the professionalism of the new capital investment company (KAG). Martin comes to the WGF Immobilien Investment GmbH with his extensive experience as a managing director in the insurance sector. Previously, he held the position of managing director of LB ImmoInvest GmbH, one of the largest special real estate fund companies. Helbach has extensive management experience in the funds and asset management sector. Amongst others, he worked for ECE Projektmanagement GmbH and held various managerial positions at Deka Immobilien Investment GmbH.
The WGF Financial Group currently employs around 110 members of staff. Core of the group is the WGF AG, which was founded in 2003 and covers the business segment of real estate trade and investment.
