The Crown Krakow Handwritten Collection Hotel opens in Poland

The Handwritten Collection is joined by The Crown, the first property in Krakow, Poland, and the second in Eastern Europe. Originally built in 1923, the five floors of The Crown Krakow Handwritten Collection include 44 rooms, a restaurant, bar, conference and banquet space and a fitness area. PI Apartamenty&Hotele will manage the hotel.

"The idea that inspired us for this amazing hotel was to capture the old spirit of true Polish hospitality and the history that is associated with this hundred-year-old building and Krakow itself. Thanks to an individual approach, we want to provide our guests with a sublime journey that will allow them to discover the historical capital of Poland in a truly royal style. We are proud to start the local history of the unique Handwritten Collection brand in our hotel" said Patrycja Matyjaszczyk, Brand Manager. Mercure and Handwritten Collection, DACH and Eastern Europe.

"We put our whole heart into this project, and I am convinced that The Crown Krakow Handwritten Collection will delight connoisseurs visiting us from all over the world for tourist or business purposes and who appreciate interiors designed with beauty and utility in mind, perfect for both relaxation and work. The style of our hotel captures the atmosphere of our renowned neighbourhood, filled with modernist structures, both private tenement houses and public utility buildings, created, like our townhouse, a century ago by the most outstanding Polish architects, whose works were an expression of the modern ambitions of our reborn country" said Agnieszka Dabrowska, President of the Management Board of PI Apartamenty&Hotele.
