Terrace Hill and Sainsbury's gain planning permission for UKs southern most food store (UK)

Terrace Hill Group plc, a leading UK property development and investment company, and Sainsbury's Supermarkets Limited is delighted to announce that planning permission has been granted by Kerrier District Council for the development of a new Sainsbury's food store and filling station in Helston, which when completed will become the southern most food store on the United Kingdom mainland.

The development, which will be located on land formerly used as an overspill car park for local theme park, The Flambards Experience, will bring approximately 350 new jobs to the area. The original proposals received strong backing from residents and the business community, with more than 90% of the public and 75% of Helston's high street traders confirming their support for the proposals at a public presentation of the project in July. This is the second planning gain in a month for Terrace Hill in partnership with Sainsbury's. In Bishop Auckland, permission was recently granted for a 150,000 ft
