Tebodin acquires major interest in Polish engineering consultant SAP-Projekt

Tebodin, Consultants & Engineers will acquire 51 per cent of the shares of the Polish engineering consultant SAP-Projekt Sp. z o.o. on 1 January 2003. Tebodin has an option to acquire the remaining shares on 1 January 2004. Both parties signed the contract in Warsaw yesterday.

Tebodin forms through this merger with SAP-Projekt the largest consultancy and engineering firm in Poland. The new Polish organisation has approximately 300 employees, operating from 8 offices. Turnover is expected to amount approximately € 15 million in 2003.

The complementary strengths of both companies will be combined, offering clients in Poland a very broad package of services. The company will focus mainly on industrial projects, projects financed by the international finance institutions and building and infrastructure projects. Tebodin has taken this step in relation to the expectation that Poland´s accession to the European Union in 2004 will generate a lot of economic activities.
