Goodman Group (“Goodman” or “Group”), a leading global owner, developer and manager of industrial property, has leased 6,000 m² of warehouse space at Kraków Airport Logistics Centre to Tajmax. The facility will be operated by its subsidiary, the retail chain, Partner AGD RTV. The move to the modern and more spacious warehouse will make it possible for Tajmax to increase the scale of its operations.

Partner AGD RTV, a brand operated by Tajmax, is a dynamically developing chain of retail stores, wholesale locations and online sales. The new facility will be used for warehousing and distributing consumer electronics and home appliances.

“The move to Goodman Kraków Airport Logistics Centre is a response to the growing number of orders and rising sales at our stores. We are convinced that Goodman’s Kraków centre is the best location to ensure effective distribution in the Lesser Poland region,” said Tomasz Gracz, CEO at Tajmax.

The facility leased by Tajmax covers 5,740 m² of existing warehouse space and 250 m² of office space located in a speculatively developed building at the logistics centre, where KMC Services is also located.

“Thanks to the transaction with Tajmax, this speculatively built warehouse is already 85% leased. The agreement also serves to further demonstrate that customers are increasingly looking for finished warehouse space that can be immediately leased. Therefore, we are already planning another 12,000 m² speculative project in Kraków, for which construction will start before the end of the year,” said Błażej Ciesielczak, Goodman Regional Director for Central and Eastern Europe.

Tajmax was represented in the transaction by advisory firm AXI IMMO. “For Tajmax, we were searching for a modern warehouse facility in a prime location, which they could move into quickly. Goodman Kraków Airport Logistics Centre meets all of these conditions, therefore we are sure that it will be an excellent place for our client to further develop their business,” said Anna Głowacz, Associate Director Industrial & Logistics AXI IMMO.

The Kraków Aiport Logistics Centre is one of Goodman’s largest logistics centres in Poland. It has a target lease area of over 150,000 m². Construction of the first warehouse began in 2010 and since then Goodman has added five warehouses, comprising over 80,000 sqm.

The Kraków Airport Logistics Centre is owned by the Goodman European Logistics Fund (GELF) and managed by the Goodman Group.

When fully operational, it is expected that up to 1,000 people will be employed by customers, making it the largest logistics centre in the Lesser Poland region. Other customers currently leasing space at the Kraków Airport Logistics Centre include, Bonito.pl, DB Schenker, DS Smith, Farutex, KMC Services, Logfarma, Royal Canin, RUCH and Valeo Autosystemy.

The Kraków Airport Logistics Centre is located in Modliniczka near Kraków, just four km from Kraków-Balice International Airport and is in close proximity to the A4 expressway, linking Kraków and Wrocław.
