T A Fisher submits planning application for drive-through cafe at The Point in London (GB)

T A Fisher has lodged a planning application for a proposed new drive-through cafe for Starbucks at The Point, Shepherds Hill, Woodley, Reading.

The scheme is effectively an extension of the existing retail development which includes Majestic, Pets Corner and Harrisons Vets.

If approved, the scheme will deliver significant economic benefits, creating employment opportunities for a range of job roles in a highly sustainable location. It also provides a great amenity for the locality, enhancing the existing business activity at the adjoining retail units.

Shepherds Hill is a growing retail hub with an M & S Food Hall, a gym, bakery, dry cleaner and a BP / M & S petrol filling station amongst a wide range of other offers.

A total of 46 car parking spaces will serve the enlarged scheme, including four new disabled spaces and 2 x EV charging bays. The proposed use will also have wider social benefits, such as becoming a destination for local people to meet and for informal business meetings.

John Fisher Group MD at T A Fisher said "We are thrilled to have Starbucks on board. They will make a great addition to the amenity offer in this location, and I am confident it will be a great success."
