SynVest acquires office building in Utrecht (NL)

Principal Real Estate Europe has sold an office building in De Meern to SynVest Dutch Real Estate for an undisclosed price. Located at Rijnzathe 12 in De Meern, West Utrecht, the Netherlands, the property is a high-end office building which is currently let to Xerox, New Babylon Gardens and SuzoHapp. Located in Oudenrijn business park and visible from the A12 motorway, the property comprises 6,700m² of office space and 113 car parking spaces. Built in 2003, it also has an ‘A’ energy rating.

Sander van den Engel, Head of Agency Utrecht at Savills in the Netherlands, said: “Despite the uncertainty caused by the coronavirus crisis, the Utrecht office market remains relatively stable for both occupiers and investors. Due to the diversity of businesses spread across the city, we do not expect a large-scale drop in demand and soaring vacancy rates. This boosts investor confidence for both the short and long term, as confirmed by this acquisition.”
