Strong European showing in the 2006 ICSC Maxi Awards Finalists (EUR)

Sixteen marketing campaigns from nine countries across Europe have been announced as finalists in this year's International Council of Shopping Center's (ICSC) Maxi Awards.

These campaigns, along with other successful marketing campaigns, will be showcased at the annual ICSC European Marketing Seminar, which is being held on 5-6 October at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Birmingham.   The seminar will include how to rebrand your shopping center and new marketing techniques and innovations.   The seminar includes a visit to the award-winning Birmingham Bullring center – a regeneration success story.

The ICSC Maxi Awards, awarded annually since 1972, are now acknowledged to be the most influential global marketing awards for the shopping center industry. They highlight the increasingly important role that marketing plans in maintaining and increasing a shopping centre's value.

The MAXI Awards recognise those shopping centers that have designed and implemented the most successful marketing programmes during the previous year and which can clearly document the substantial impact the marketing campaign has had on the shopping center or shopping center company's goal, measuring results through effective, efficient and creative uses of all available resources.

MAXI Awards are given in the following categories: Community Relations; Public Relations; Advertising; Sales Promotion and Events; Grand Opening, Expansion and Renovation; Business to Business (B2B); Revenue Impact; and Category Integration.

The 2006 MAXI Awards will be presented on Wednesday, September 27, 2006 at the Thorne Auditorium, Chicago, Ill., as part of ICSC's Fall Conference & Trade Exposition, September 25-27, 2006.
