Stichtsekant industrial estate Almere unique in the Netherlands (NL)

Marketing activities for the first developments at business park Stichtsekant in Almere have officially started. Stichtsekant, alongside the A27 highway, covers an area of 130 ha. and offers space for logistic, mixed industrial and top-level companies. An industrial estate of this size and quality is unique in the Netherlands.

Almere is situated in the heart of the Netherlands and Amsterdam Airport Schiphol is only 30 minutes away by car. Stichtsekant will be allocated in several phases. In phase one, 26 ha. will be allocated for logistics and 15 ha. for mixed industrial use. At the moment, the city of Almere is busy allocating the 26 ha. logistic plots. The preparation of the site for building will be completed by June this year and the aim is to start construction for the first company in July 2006. Allocation of the mixed industrial plots is expected in 2007. Plot sizes vary from 5,000 to 40,000 m2 (logistics) and 1,500 to 5,000 m2 (mixed). Phase two (allocation to start in 2010), includes 39 ha. of mixed industrial and 21 ha. of logistic land and a facility point. This facility point will offer a range of services to companies, such as accommodation for meetings, a few retail trade outlets, hotel and catering services and amenities such as a bank, sub-post office, printing business, dry cleaning service and day nursery. A petrol station is also one of the options. Phase three includes some 29 ha. for top-level companies.

Quality and allure
Stichtsekant is an industrial estate like no other. High standards have been set for architecture and layout. You will see this in details such as the unique (rain)water collection system, the quality of the environment of the industrial estate as well as the quality of the buildings. The City of Almere aims to create sustainable, high-quality buildings which will still be of high quality in 20 years time. Discussions with potential customers show that they choose Stichtsekant because of the location, the availability of plots, the good price-quality ratio and the quality of the business park.
