Start of 2nd phase of Mode Centrum Almere (NL)

BAM Utiliteitsbouw is starting the second construction phase of the futuristic Mode Centrum Almere, located at the Veluwsezoom-West business district along the A6 highway in Almere, near Amsterdam. The second phase consists of the construction of the CUBE, a 17,000-m² six-story cube-shaped building.

Mode Centrum Almere, a design of KOW Architecten assigned by TCN Property Projects and BAM Utiliteitsbouw, is an icon in Dutch architecture. After completion Mode Centrum Almere will have a GLA of 55,000 m². Due to the huge area of the project, the fashion center is developed in three phases. Phase I, the circular-shaped DOME, was completed in 2002. Phase III, the TRIANGLE, will consist of a triangular building. The three buildings, each with its own modern identity, will be connected by glass overhead bridges.
