Standard Life Investments boosts global property coverage (ASIA)

Standard Life Investments, the global fund manager, has announced that it has strengthened its coverage of the listed property markets with the appointment of Anton Kwang as Investment Director - Asia Pacific Property.

Anton was previously a Senior Portfolio Manager at Perennial Investments, Hong Kong. Prior to that, he worked at ABN AMRO Bank as the Director of Regional Property Research. He has over 12 years of investment experience in the Asia real estate sector.

Reporting to Andrew Jackson, Investment Director - Global Listed Property, Anton will have primary responsibility for researching and analysing opportunities in the listed property markets of the Asia Pacific Region. He will generate investment ideas and recommendations for Standard Life Investments' £1.8bn (US$3.6bn, €2.5bn) of global property funds. Anton will join Standard Life Investments' Hong Kong office on 4th October.

Commenting on the appointment, Andrew Jackson said: "With Anton's appointment we are now better placed to capitalise on the many opportunities which exist within the property markets in the Asia Pacific region. "His experience and expertise is also a real boost to our global property offering at large. It means Standard Life Investments now has listed property analysts on the ground in Europe, the Americas and the Asia Pacific region. Such coverage should allow us to build on the strong performance of our Select Property and
Global REIT funds.
