I Petali di Reggio
I Petali di Reggio (28,500 m²) is an new multifunctional project in Reggio Emilia, very close to the exit of the A1 Motorway, the main highway connecting the north and the south of Italy. The project is unique in Italy being the only shopping & leisure mall to be developed in the surrounding areas of a soccer stadium. I Petali di Reggio is a 2-level scheme with shops, anchors and a food court located at ground floor level. The first floor is entirely dedicated to an 11 screens multiplex cinema and two 4-floor towers which host a 3,500 m² top quality health club and Reggio Emilia's municipality offices. Visitors have a big external parking area at their disposal with more than 2,000 parking spaces. The location is very promising: the stadium has great visibility and easy access from the outer rims of Reggio Emilia, as well as from the nearest towns. A surface metro under construction will provide direct access from the centre of Reggio Emilia.

I Petali di Reggio encompasses a well-balanced mix of commercial, leisure and wellness functions with a 1st class retail selection. Main anchors are Inditex Group brands (Zara, Zara Home, Bershka, Oysho, Stradivarius, Pull & Bear), Intersport, Mediaworld, Pittarello, Virgin Active and Cinestar. The Food court features 11 Bars & Restaurants with both ethnic and Italian cuisine. The project displays an impressive glass façade surrounded by steel sails mounting over brickwork. Through a scenographical hall, visitors enter the mall built under the stadium stands. Architects are T+T Design, Gouda, Netherlands (Master plan), Chapman Taylor and Morasso.

Multi Development-C Italia managing director, Mauro Mancini said: "This project was an ambitious challenge which required all of our expertise, not only as a developer. We did our utmost to focus on 'couleur locale'. Today I'm proud to inaugurate our first Italian project and I'm happy to live through this emotion here, in the city where the Italian flag was born."
