The overall investment for the project will come to just over €100 million and investments will commence at the end of 2007. In all, the leasable surface area of the new properties will amount to around 130,000 m². The project will be completed in stages, the first being warehouses and flow-through terminals totalling 70,000 m², which are to be ready by the end of 2008. Sponda intends to become the long-term owner of the new logistics center and in this capacity, it will be responsible for the leasing and maintenance of the properties.

The Port of Helsinki's cargo operations will transfer to Vuosaari by the end of 2008. The logistics area at the harbour will cover around 50 hectares. The area will mainly be the site for terminals and warehouses as well as for such office and social facilities that are only directly connected to harbour operations.
