Sonae Imobiliaria, the shopping mall unit of Sonae SGPS, plans to invest €179.5m by end-2005 on the construction of three new commercial centers in Spain, chief spokesman Tiago Vidal said.
The new malls will be at Bilbao, Madrid and Malaga, he said.
Sonae´s eight existing shopping centers in Spain posted revenues of € 276.4 mln in the first half.
Yesterday Sonae opened a new center at Toledo comprising 130 shops, developed in partnership with Spanish group Eroski.
