Ernst-Jan Boers (45) has been appointed Chairman of the Board of SNS Bank. He has assumed the role of Acting Chairman since January 1, 2011.
Boers has been CFO of SNS Bank since 2009. Before that, he was Group Finance Director at SNS REAAL. In 2007, Boers switched from ABN AMRO Hypotheken, where he held the position of CFO since 1998, to SNS REAAL. At the start of his career he also worked for SNS REAAL, holding a position at REAAL.

The appointment of Ernst-Jan Boers is subject to employee participation rights. The required approvals from the regulatory authorities have been obtained.
