Sergio Ermotti succeeds Alessandro Profumo as Chairman of HypoVereinsbank Supervisory Board (DE)

Sergio Ermotti, Deputy CEO of UniCredit Group, was elected the new Chairman of the HypoVereinsbank Supervisory Board at the HypoVereinsbank Supervisory Board meeting (5 February). He thus succeeds Alessandro Profumo, CEO of UniCredit Group, at the top of the HypoVereinsbank Supervisory Board.

Dr Wolfgang Sprissler, former Spokesman of the HypoVereinsbank Management Board, was voted in as Second Deputy Chairman of the
Supervisory Board. The Supervisory Board thanked Mr Profumo for his commendable service as Chairman of the Supervisory Board.

At the end of the Extraordinary General Meeting, which preceded the meeting of the Supervisory Board, Alessandro Profumo, as well as Dario Frigerio, Head of the Asset Management Division of UniCredit Group, and Vittorio Ogliengo, Head of the Corporate Banking Division
of UniCredit Group, resigned as members of the HypoVereinsbank Supervisory Board.

The General Meeting appointed Dr Wolfgang Sprissler and Karl Guha, the new Chief Risk Officer of UniCredit Group, as well as the lawyer Dr Susanne Weiss, partner in the law firm Weiss, Walter, Fischer-Zernin in Munich, as new members of the Supervisory Board.
