Serdika Center in Sofia honored for sustainable building (RU)

ECE's Serdika Center in Sofia has been honored with the 'SEE Green Building Award' for sustainable building. The 'SEE Real Estate Awards' were organized for the seventh time by the real estate magazine EuropaProperty.

The prize winners were honored in the course of a gala reception in Bucharest. In this year's competition, the awards were presented by an independent jury in different categories to the most outstanding projects, companies, retailers and persons in Central and Eastern Europe in 2011.

The Serdika Center, Bulgaria's largest and most modern shopping center with more than 210 shops was opened on March 15, 2010. Already in September last year, the Serdika Center was awarded the DGNB Certificate in Gold by the Bulgarian Green Building Council(BGBC) as first shopping center in Bulgaria. The center is located at the Sitnyakovo boulevard in the downtown district Oborishte.

Several bus and city train stations are in direct vicinity. The €210 million project was planned and realized by ECE and S IMMO AG. It provides its visitors on three floors a large selection of fashion, international and national gastronomy as well as numerous services. Above the shopping center are 30,000 m² of high-quality office space also awarded with the BGBC Certificate in Gold.
