Schuitema, the power behind the C1000 supermarkets, again completed an excellent year. Turnover increased by more than 30% to EURO 3.5 bln. Market share increased from 14.8% in 2000 to 15.1% in 2001.
Turnover of C1000 supermarkets rose to EURO 2.8 bln, of which autonomous growth was 8.6%, which outperforms the total market growth of 5.6% (source: AC Nielsen). C1000?s market share increased to 12.4%, compared to 11.2% in 2000.
Wholesale turnover of Schuitema grew with 33.2% to EURO 2.84 bln.
