Scarborough International Properties has submitted an application to Sheffield City Council for detailed planning consent for Vidrio, an eight storey, 60,000ft² office building located on Sheffield Digital Campus (Sheffield DC). The development would complete the final phase of Sheffield DC, where enabling and substructure works have already been undertaken. The most recent addition to the scheme was Acero, an 80,600ft² Grade A office building which completed in July 2017 and was let to Atkins, Simcyp and Spaces before being sold to APAM in May 2018 for €30.6m (£26.6m). The asset is located adjacent to Sheffield’s main railway station, and will soon benefit from the delivery of high-speed rail HS2.
Paul Holcroft, Director of Asset Management at Scarborough, added: “This planning application further demonstrates our commitment to Sheffield and our confidence in the strong market conditions we have seen over recent years. Vidrio is the final piece of the jigsaw for Sheffield DC and will deliver exceptional quality Grade A office accommodation in a striking landmark building”.
