Savills secures biggest letting in Neuss (DE)

International real estate advisor Savills has successfully advised on 2010's biggest office letting transaction to date in Neuss. In addition it has secured tenants for properties in Berlin and Munich.

IT-Kooperation Rheinland (ITK Rheinland), the IT service provider for the state capital Düsseldorf and all municipal administrations of the Rhine County Neuss, has secured some 5,000 m² of office space in the BüroQuartier Neuss-Hammfeld which is owned by a private individual based in Hamburg. The property comprises a total area of approximately 30,000 m² only a kilometer away from the city center of Neuss, with BüroQuartier Neuss-Hammfeld nearby.

"The letting to ITK Rheinland will give important profile to an area which has recorded high vacancy and is in direct competition with Düsseldorf's Seestern area. As the market continues to forecast vacancy this will provide an important boost to business sentiment in the region," says Robert Kellershohn, Head of Office Agency at Savills Germany.

In Munich, four new tenants have been secured for landlord DEKA at its 2,000-m² offices in the new development Grimmer Weg 6 / Grünwalder Weg in Unterhaching (Munich). New tenants include technology leader in air bearings AeroLas GmbH, for approx. 800 m² offices; furniture and lighting consultant Art et Design and esecurity specialist Protea Networks GmbH both taking approx. 500 m² offices. Employment agency Personalhansa Zeitarbeits-GmbH will lease approx. 200 m² offices. The building is now fully occupied.

Finally, media academy cimdata will open a branch in Berlin's district Prenzlauer Berg. The 1,070-m² space at Immanuelkirchstraße 14 A will accommodate offices and classrooms. Savills acted on behalf of the tenant.
