Savills appoints new Head of Germany (DE)

International real estate advisor Savills has today announced that Marcus Lemli will take on the role as Head of its German business from October 1, 2012 following the departure of Bernd-Uwe Willer, current head of the company's German operation, as he leaves to pursue new challenges.

Having originally worked for Savills Spain between 2004 and 2006, Lemli re-joined Savills earlier in the year to head its European investment operation, which he will also maintain along with managing and expanding the Savills German business. Prior to this he spent six years at Jones Lang LaSalle in Germany where he was head of the respective capital markets and leasing businesses.

Borja Sierra, CEO of Savills Europe, comments: "Marcus has extremely strong experience in managing and expanding successful transaction businesses and he is therefore a perfect choice to take on the leadership of our German operation. His expertise will be fundamental in developing this business further as part of our wider European strategy."

Marcus Lemli adds: "Savills Germany has strong client relationships with dedicated professionals committed to providing an excellent service and innovative solutions for their clients. I am therefore looking forward to continuing this and building on its already strong platform."

Sierra continues: "We are very grateful to Bernd-Uwe for successfully leading, growing and refocusing the Savills German business over the last two years in what has been a particularly tough economic climate. We will miss Uwe and would like to wish him all the very best for the future."
