International real estate advisor Savills advised a developer in the sale of a 7,100 m² shopping center near Saint-Omer city center in the Pas de Calais North region of France. The property, situated next to a 22,000 m² Auchan de Longueness shopping center, has been purchased by Imocominvest for approximately 10 million.
The development was completed in June 2010 and comprises nine retail units and a petrol station. It is fully let to tenants including Carrefour Market, who have taken 2,800 m² of space. Other retailers in the area include Décathlon, Chantemur, Boulanger, Bricoman, Gifi, Kiabi and Tati.
Christophe Gouny, head of Savills retail team, says: "This is a great development in the center of Saint-Omer. There are 140,000 people living in the immediate vicinity and footfall is boosted by shoppers travelling from further away to visit both this shopping center and the adjacent Auchan supermarket."
