Due to increasing interest demonstrated by the shopping mall's customers and potential tenants, Rzeszów Plaza is to be expanded. As a result, the commercial space of the mall will increase by approximately 5,000 m² to a total 19,500 m². There will be approximately 15 new shops in two storys and an additional 500 parking spaces in a five-story car park.

Rzeszów Plaza was first opened in November 2005.
The construction permit granted to the developer of the mall, Keen Property Partners Retail (KPP Retail), gained legal validity. Construction will start in the next few weeks, and the grand opening of the new part of Rzeszów Plaza is planned for October 2011. The cost of the extension investment amounts to approximately 13 million.
"Rzeszów Plaza is a long-standing favorite shopping destination for residents of Rzeszów and the neighboring areas. In December 2010 alone, our shopping mall was visited by approximately 650,000 shoppers, and 85% of the mall's tenants decided to renew their lease agreements for a further five years," said Richard Keen, Managing Director of Keen Property Partners Retail.
"In response to increased demand from tenants and shoppers, we have decided to expand and modernise Rzeszów Plaza. We will create a new facade for the whole building, and renovate the interiors. We will add two new floors of commercial space and build a new five-story car park on the site of the old Auto-Res salon, which has moved to another location. The new area will form one seamless and consistent space with the existing Rzeszów Plaza retail area."
After the expansion, the gross leasable area of Rzeszów Plaza will amount to approximately 19,500 m². Approximately 600 parking spaces will be available in addition to the existing car park shared with E.Leclerc for shoppers with cars. The preparations are currently underway. The general contractor is 'Agencja Fregata' Sp. z o.o. from Koùobrzeg, and the new part has been designed by architects' studio Artplan-Tomasz Orùowski from Rzeszów. The leasing of the new part of the mall has already begun. CB Richard Ellis and Master Management Sp. z o.o. are responsible for the leasing of the retail space.
