Rodamco Europe sells portfolio of assets in the Netherlands to Aberdeen Property investors (NL)

Rodamco Europe N.V. has announced the divestment of a portfolio of assets in the Netherlands, including 150 shop units and approximately 50 residential units, to Aberdeen Property Investors The Netherlands BV, for an amount of approximately €115 million.

The individual shop units are located across the Netherlands and have been divested via a structured bidding process by real estate agent Troostwijk Makelaars O.G. The transaction will be effective as per 15 September 2006. The total divested retail space is 36,500 m² excluding the residential units, which are located (directly) above the shops.

Managing Director Rodamco Europe in the Netherlands Karin Laglas commented: "This divestment further enhances Rodamco Europe in the Netherlands' focus on key retail locations, which is in line with Rodamco Europe's long term strategy to focus on high quality retail; primarily dominant shopping centers in key European cities."
