Rodamco Europe N.V., the largest publicly listed property investment and management company in the retail sector in Europe, announces the intended appointment of Mr. Peter M. van Rossum (49) as Chief Financial Officer and member of the Management Board as per April 1, 2006.
Peter van Rossum has 24 years of wide international expertise and experience in various finance positions at Shell. In his current position as Regional Finance Director for Shell Exploration and Production in Asia Pacific, he holds the most senior finance role in the Asia Pacific Region for Shell's upstream activities, based in Singapore. Peter van Rossum will be nominated for appointment as member of the statutory Management Board at the Annual Shareholders Meeting of Rodamco Europe N.V. on April 20, 2006. Until that moment Peter van Rossum will assume the position of acting CFO as of April 1, 2006.
Peter van Rossum (1956) is a Dutch national and studied business economics at the Free University of Amsterdam, where he also obtained a post graduate degree as Chartered Accountant ('Register Accountant'). After his studies he joined Shell, where he has spent the last 24 years in various finance positions in many different countries. Amongst others, he was finance manager at the Nederlandse Aardolie Maatschappij (NAM) from 2000 to 2003. NAM is the Shell/ExxonMobil joint venture in the Netherlands. Besides his current position as Regional Finance Director, Peter van Rossum is a member of the Non‐Executive Board of Woodside Petroleum and Woodside Energy Ltd. He is also a member of their audit committee. Woodside is a top ten publicly listed Australian energy company, 34% owned by Shell.
